The most harrowing stories can be found in the glamor of a career. A winner of both the USA and World championships in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after a lot of struggle and enormous amount of perseverance. She was the only child of a single mom with five kids, Jones had a difficult and a squatter's childhood. Her mother was constantly shifting and even lived within the basement. Jones, who lived an erratic and mobile lifestyle until the time she entered high school, had to move to a new school each year. Jones moved away from her mom to Theodore Roosevelt to enable her to pursue her interest in track. She lived with four different families throughout her time at high school to study in one place. Jones was a cellist with the school's orchestra, and winner of Gatorade the track and field award for athlete of the Year won her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the conclusion of high school.
