Meredith Salenger
Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She enjoyed performing for her relatives and friends as an infant. Her mother took her to her first acting class when she was 8 years old. The actress played the role as "a dancing and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. Salenger's first starring role was in her role in the Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann costarring John Cusack and Ray Wise, the first US film to be awarded an award of gold during the Moscow Film Festival. Salenger was also named "Best actress in Drama" by the Youth in Film Awards, in recognition of her role as the fun-loving Natty. She was also in four films prior to turning age 18. One of the films is A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she went to Harvard to further her education.
